Emerida Alvarado Rodriguez Cedeno, age 64, passed away suddenly August 5th. She was born January 03, 1957, in Panama City Panama, to Beatriz Cedeno and Eduardo Alvarado, sister to Rhosie Otero. She was married to Juan Manuel Nieto. She is leaving behind her children, Manuel Cantos, Kathy, Jessica and Sandy Rodriguez. As well as her grandchildren, Christiane, Janice, Astrad, Alina and Gino Cantos, Ashanti, Christian and Dominic Santana, Luciano Rodriguez, Giovanny and Yossel Moran. Emerida went by the nickname “Mely” and “Mi Cholita” by her mother. She was very involved in her church, Iglesia La Roca and cherished by many in the fellowship. She enjoyed outdoor life, specifically sunsets and sunrises at the Naples Beach, which she considered her home. She especially loved her family gatherings. She never excluded anyone and a friend she met in a moment, would be considered family.
She attended and graduated from the University of Panama in Republic of Panama and as well as Hodges University, with the following degrees in Bachelor of Nursing, and Associate of Paralegal. She worked many years at North Collier Hospital and Physician Regional Hospital.
Mely was a beautiful, loving, energetic, selfless, humble, generous, kindhearted, unique soul. She was thought as the cool mom, making sure to guide her children at the same time as enjoying life. She dedicated her time to taking care of her mother and being a caring daughter. She left a piece of her heart in every person she touched and will never be forgotten. Mely would put everyone’s needs before her own.
