Mrs. Barbara Bresnick
July 20, 1940 – December 24, 2019

Barbara Hecht Bresnick, 79, formerly of Bowie, Maryland, passed on December 24, 2019 in Naples, Florida.

Barbara was born on July 20, 1940 in New York City to Annette Weintraub and Max Hecht, and was lovingly raised during here formative years by her grandmother Bertha Hecht. Barbara was a graduate of Hunter College, and worked as a schoolteacher and later as a librarian at the Prince George’s County law library. On July 1, 1962 Barbara married Arnold Bresnick in New York City. Barbara was active in Hadassah, loved reading mystery novels and was a formidable scrabble player and crossword aficionado.

Barbara is survived by Arnold, her husband of 57 years ; her daughter Anne Bresnick and son-in-law Steven Almo; her son Adam Bresnick and son-in-law Angel Martínez-Roger; and two granddaughters, Sara and Emma Almo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10:30 am at Beth Tikvah located on Pine Ridge Road, Naples Florida.
