Ralph will be truly missed by his friends in Naples. He was friends with my Mother-they knew each other from church-Trinity by the Cove. Ralph, a true gentleman, would check on his neighbors regularly.
I was able to assist Ralph with low vision devices that helped him feel more independent. I will miss seeing Ralph, in the alley behind Gardenia Court, picking Eddy’s mangoes to take the church for their annual mango chutney fundraiser.
Will miss your smiles Ralph. Rest in peace, my friend.

A few years ago Ralph Andrea told me the story of his finding the first tulip flowered pelargonium (geranium) in the family property in Holbrook, Massachusetts. For over a year, I would email and then we would talk on the phone. He was so upbeat and had such a good mind. I got so many stories about the plant and the family selling them all over the east coast and sending them to England. The plant was named ‘Patricia Andrea’ for his niece who loved working in the greenhouse, especially with her grandmother. Talking with him was so interesting and really positive.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Ralph because a mutual friend asked if I would clean for him. We quickly became friends. Due to my busy schedule, my son ended up cleaning for Ralph, but we still kept in contact. When he moved to Aston Gardens, I would take him shopping, dancing, out to eat, to the Artis Naples, to listen to music at Cambier Park. Ralph LOVED desserts. Ralph LOVED dancing. Ralph LOVED music and Ralph loved life. I miss you so much! Love you, Ralph!
