August 31, 1951 – June 12, 2020

Joseph “Joe” Gagliano, age 68 of Naples, passed away on June 12, 2020. He was born in New York, New York on August 31, 1951 to the late Salvatore and Theresa Gagliano. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Family was the defining aspect of Joe’s life. His family meant the world to him, and he was the consummate supporter for the many sports and extracurricular activities with which his children were involved. He was an educator and a coach and taught elementary school through high school in the Collier County School system for many years. He also coached both youth and varsity sports, and was the first soccer coach at Barron Collier High School.

At home, Joe could be a prankster, always keeping his family on their toes with his antics. He had a great sense of humor. He also enjoyed watching sports, particularly the New York Yankees.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Daniel Gagliano (Jennifer), Ashli Gagliano Stewart (James), and Lisa Gagliano; grandchildren, Joseph Thomas “J.T.” Gagliano, Nicholas Stewart, and Katherine Stewart.

Also surviving Joe are his sister, Cynthia Doil; brother, Michael Gagliano; step-son, Jason Burgess; and many friends.

The family will gather for a Memorial Service at Naples Funeral Home on Saturday, June 20, 2020, from 11:00am until 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Joe’s name to Avow Hospice: https://avowcares.org/donate-now/

Never forget the time I was there in the late 70’s. Naples is beautiful. Lots of memories from when you lived on Long Island. You were out of sight but never out of mind.
Love,
Cousin Augie.
