I have known Dave for about ten years. He had hired my former company, Sunflower Services of Marco, to clean up his yard on Plum Court. I took a personal interest in this project by fixing a broken irrigation system, replacing seawall rock, transplanting shrubs and trees and adding some new plants. We both subsequently joined the Island Country Club and became Board members. Dave replaced me as chairman of the Greens and Grounds Committee. Recently, with his failing health, he asked me to take over the Greens and Grounds Committee for him. I was honored to fill in for Dave who I consider to be a great guy and friend. May he rest in peace.
