Mr. Daniel Austin Harrity
May 9, 1942 – December 13, 2020

Daniel passed at home in Naples, Florida the morning of December 13th, 2020. He served in the US Army as a Signal Corp. operator. He was a retired Electrician with the Brotherhood of Electricians Local 134 in Chicago, IL.

Loving son to the late John and Mary Harrity, who were born in Ireland, but came to Chicago and raised 10 children in the DePaul / Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Peggy); daughter-in-law, Carrie; and granddaughters MacKenzie & Mallory Harrity. He was preceded in death by his beloved children, Deborah Ann Harrity-Anderson (Marc) and Daniel Jr. (Carrie) Also, he was preceded in death by his loving brothers; Edward, John (Barbara), James (Gail), Thomas, Terrence and the Rev. Patrick Harrity. He is survived by his loving sisters, Anne Marie (Nancy) (Raymond) Eisenmenger, Catherine (John) Cwiklinkski and Sheila Harrity. In-laws include Maureen Gibbons, Edward Gibbons, (deceased), Ruth (James) Kalal Carol (Stephen) Zubo. Many loving nieces & nephews, cousins and dear friends. A Requiem Mass and gathering of friends and family will be scheduled post Covid-19 at a later date. Interment is private.
