Juliana (Parducci) Bray, 83, beloved wife of Richard Bray, of Naples Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10th with her loving husband by her side.
Julie was born in Torrington, CT on Feb 2nd, 1942 and was the cherished daughter of the late Caroline and Angelo Parducci. An only child, she grew up surrounded by unconditional love from her two aunts who adored her. . Julie’s extended family cherished her presence in their lives, especially her cousin Joan. Julie and Joanie shared a deep connection throughout their lifetimes , always a constant support to one another and just a short walk away to one another’s homes for a cup of tea or a glass of wine.
Julie attended Torrington public schools and was a graduate of Torrington High School, Class of 1960. Following high school she went on to graduate from Bay Path University in Longmeadow, Ma. Weekends at Bay Path were spent waiting patiently for Richard to arrive for his visits. A blind date orchestrated by a dear friend was the beginning of 61 beautiful years together. Julie and Richard were wed on Sept. 7th, 1963 at St Peters Church in Torrington, CT.
Julie defined motherhood. Her three daughters were the recipients of their moms greatest gifts. Julie innately embodied her role as a mother. Although she worked for many years outside of the home, her selfless devotion to her husband and her daughters is a testimony to a higher standard of what it means to live a life of meaning and accomplishment. She forever put her family first, and as her 12 grandchildren entered her life she became a constant source of love, support, guidance and laughter. Her grandchildren will live in the light of the memories they shared with their Gramma.
Julie continued to live with grace and dignity in her final years, lovingly cared for by her adoring husband. Her infectious smile will never fade from our memories. We will forever miss her presence in our lives. We are comforted knowing she is reunited with her countless memories of the family that welcomed her home and the family she leaves behind to carry on her tremendous legacy of love for generations to come.
Julie is forever loved by her husband, Richard Bray, her three daughters and their spouses, Michelle and Greg O’Connor, Tracy and Frank Famigliettti, and Kelly and Steven Kutscher. Julie was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Jameson, Griffin, Kieran, Aidan and Colin O’Connor, Adam, Ben and Grace Famiglietti and Emma, Owen, Declan and Nora Kutscher. Julie also leaves behind loving cousins and life long cherished friends in Torrington and Naples.
A celebration of life will take place at the convenience of the family at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/tribute. Julie found her greatest joy in the company of children. She would be comforted knowing that a child in need receives the care they deserve, and in return a mothers heart is comforted.
