November 3, 1945 – July 24, 2023

Josefina “Nana” Munoz was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world tragically on July 24, 2023, at age 77.

She was born to Angelita and Jose Angulo on November 3, 1945, in Harlingen Tx.

Josefina is survived by her former husband Hermilo Munoz their loving children Lily Gonzalez, Lydia Munoz, Hermilo (Mela) Munoz Jr, Juan (Julie) Munoz, and sister Maggie Angulo. Proceeded in death by her parents, brothers, and grandchild.

Her Grandchildren Jose A. Zamarripa Jr, Jesus Zamarripa, Thomas Zamarripa, Frank Zamarripa, Christina Garcia, Griselda Beiswenger, Gloria Sanchez, Micheal A. Munoz, Lisa M. Jean, Jonathan D. Munoz, Andrea Munoz, Joseph Munoz, Marissa Munoz, and 21 great-grandchildren.

As a child, she worked in the cotton fields in Texas. While she was raising her family, she spent her years traveling and working in Agriculture between Michigan and SW Florida. Her final employment was with The Terrace Condominiums in Naples FL where she was a dedicated employee for 24yrs until her retirement. Her hobbies included collecting her little” knick Knackies” as she called them, shopping, and traveling to see family. She enjoyed her morning coffee, loved singing throughout the day and her love for god was infinite.

He took her by the hand,
And said follow me to the promised land,
But I lost a shoe she said,
And he replied, you won’t need that where we are going.
He took her through the enchanted forest, they reached a spot.
As she lies down, he says to her, rest my child for when you wake you will be exhausted with love in abundance!“
