Jeffrey Moody
July 6, 1982 – October 16, 2022
Jeff Moody, 40, of Port Charlotte, FL fell asleep in death on October 16, 2022 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his dear grandmother Myrtle Jarrett. He is survived by his mother Thelma Moody, uncle Patrick Jarrett, aunt Pauline Jarrett, and many cousins.
Jeff was born July 6, 1982 in Manhasset, NY. He graduated from Port Charlotte High School in 2000 as vice president of the honor society, and obtained his Associate in Arts Degree from Edison Community College in 2004.
He was an avid writer and loved people. He wrote a weekly column “As I See It” for the Punta Gorda Sun and published a novel. Jeff became sick at age 17 and had to stop writing, though his love for people never changed. He encouraged youths to love and respect others. Reading the Bible daily brought him peace and comfort. Jeff was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2020, and spent the rest of his life joyfully spreading the Bible’s truths and speaking of his God, Jehovah. He put faith in God’s promise of a resurrection to a paradise earth. (Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 26:19)
