Janice Cole

Janice Knotts Cole passed away February 1,2023 in Naples, Florida. She was born November 16, 1937, in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Dorothy Fenicle and Darlington Knotts.
Janice married in 1954, and had 3 children, Glenn, Carol and Rhonda Cole.
Janice attended Marshallton Elementary, Conrad High School, both in Wilmington, DE, Charles Morris Price School of Advertising, Phil., PA (credited writing courses), Certification from Dun & Bradstreet (continuation of business education) where she was the award winner of a Dale Carnegie course.
She worked at ICI America’s, Inc; as an administrative assistant and project manager with knowledge of multiple computer programs, she retired in 1993, then, worked as caretaker/companion for a private retired doctor for more than six years. Then she took full retirement and later moved to Naples, Florida to be close to her daughter, Carol.
Janice loved the Lord, her country, her church, pets, flowers, and all of God’s beautiful creations she was interested in spiritual reading & revivals, gardening, decorating, painting watercolors, arts & crafts, snow skiing, travel.
She was a spiritual woman, gentle, kind, giving, supportive, loved to laugh and have fun. She always tithed to her church and donated to good causes, such as: Veteran’s Organizations, Food for the Poor, Collier County Police fund raisers, The Humane Society, and many others.
In addition to her parents, Janice was proceeded in death by her daughter, Rhonda, her 3 sisters, Jean Permenter, Doris Walter and Joyce Hartnet and in March of 2009, her son-in-law, John, was tragically killed at age 61.
She is survived by her loving family and care takers, Carol Wheeler and Dave Estep.
A Graveside Service will be held at Palm Royale Cemetery & Mausoleum, 6790 Vanderbilt Beach Rd, Naples, FL 34119, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 11:45am.
