Jack J. Bachmann

July 09, 1938~February 14, 2025

Jack J. Bachmann passed away on February 14,2025 at the age of 86, in Naples, Florida. After battling medical issues over recent years, he  showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Hills, Missouri.

Born on July 9, 1938, Jack was the son of Joseph Albert Bachmann, Jr. and Helen (Doerer) Bachmann, who both preceded him in death. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of over 42 years to Linda J. Bachmann and a devoted father to Joe Bachmann, Jim Bachmann, Todd  (Melissa) Barnes, Heath (Janet) Barnes, and Rich Axe. He was a cherished grandfather to Maggie (Kai) Schepers, Jennifer Bachmann, Brian  Bachmann, and Talon Barnes, and a proud great-grandfather to Liam Schepers. Jack was also a supportive and loving brother-in-law to Mike  Bartlow. He was considered a father and grandfather to many, leaving a lasting impression on countless lives.

Jack graduated from the Business School of Washington University in St. Louis in 1960 with a degree in Business and Finance. A talented jazz  pianist, he paid his way through college performing music. His passion for real estate began when he purchased his first foreclosure on the  steps of the St. Louis courthouse. In 1979, he founded Kingmont Corporation, developing commercial, residential, and retail properties across  Missouri, Illinois, and Florida. In 1996 there were other partnerships formed to support the different properties. Among his many ventures, he  syndicated a property owned by one of the entities, Saxon Manor Isles Limited Partnership an affordable housing complex with 252 units in  Naples, Florida which he and Linda managed for several years. His diverse business interests also included housing for the handicapped and  elderly, apartments, commercial office buildings, mini warehouses, car washes, laundromats, manufactured home communities. Jack never  bragged or displayed his accomplishments or endeavors. Some friends referred to Jack and Linda as “Bonnie & Clyde.” Jack would find a deal,  bring home to Linda where they would envision how to move forward. He would rehab and do all the construction then hand-off to Linda to  finalize details and manage.

Although Jack worked long hours, he continued to volunteer his time and being active on bank boards, Guardian Ad Litem (voices for kids), Collier County Domestic Animal Services and was a member of North Naples Church.

Despite facing a physical handicap from a young age, Jack never let it define him. He played varsity baseball for four years in high school and  even tried out for the New York Giants at 17. A licensed pilot, antique car enthusiast, and avid boater, Jack found joy in making deals and  helping those down on their luck. He never used his handicap to be a victim or have anyone have pity for him, but he overcame that from a very early age where he never wanted any regrets in life.

In lieu of flowers, Jack was a supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children and St Jude Children’s Research Hospital where any donations  would be appreciated. Special thanks to NCH Naples Baker Hospital, where the staff were excellent in providing care and support, to Avow  Hospice, and the staff at Villa at Terracina Grand.

“Gone are the days we used to share, but in our hearts, you are always there. The gates of memories will never close. We miss you more than  anyone knows. With tender love and deep regret, we who love you will never forget.”
