My heart is heavy with hearing the news of Fredi’s passing, he was a dear friend, so very generous, kind and thoughtful. I have so many memories I will cherish of times spent going to see a show or event at Artis/The Phil or just catching up with a glass of wine after a long week. I will miss our long friendship and laughing about his white shoes (an inside joke that was created on our first meeting all those years ago)
Danielle I am truly sorry for your loss but grateful to have known such a good man. May he rest in peace.

I have known Fred since we were students at Cornell in the early seventies. We both remained in the hotel investment business over the subsequent fifty years and saw each other at least annually. He was a good and decent man, he made everyone he met feel better about themselves for having seen him that day. He will be greatly missed by all who experienced the gift of having known him.

Fred was a sincere and passionate hotel owner. We shared April birthdays, and he always took the time to call and wish me a Happy Birthday. I will miss his calls and seeing him at our Committee meetings.

Fred was a great mentor and became a good friend. He taught me to become a good listener and be more patient. I looked forward to our phone calls. He had a great sense of humor; in our last call 2 weeks ago he commented he was on his way to get a haircut. He said, “it should only take 2-3 minutes”. I always had a smile on my face after we spoke with each other.
