September 19, 1960 – July 31, 2023

Cheryl Ann Hassett of Naples, Florida, 62 years of age, passed away peacefully on July 31st.

She was born in Cheverly, Maryland on September 19th and graduated from High Point High School in 1978. She attended Medix School for dentistry. Her studies led her to a career as an Oral Surgeon assistant. In 1984, she married Kevin Hassett and had three wonderful sons Craig (Kelly), Chris (Emily), and Corey (Laura). She also was “Lovey” to five beautiful grandchildren, Noah, Olivia, Knox, Connor, and Hayes; she also leaves behind her mother, Millie, and many wonderful aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Cheryl loved hockey travel with her sons, vacations with friends and family, and golf outings throughout the US. Cheryl’s zest for life was infectious; she had a ray of sunshine behind her smile and would do whatever was needed to help family and friends. She also was fond of all God’s creatures, great and small.

She was predeceased by her father, Bill Hense, and sister Jill.

Cheryl’s funeral is planned for Friday, September 29th at 11:00 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 9100 Colesville Road, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
