Richard Frank Kungle
March 20, 1941 – October 7, 2022

Richard F. Kungle passed away with family by his side at home on October 7, 2022 battling complications from brain cancer.

Richard lived a fun life doing so many things he loved. Always successful in business and always working on a project, you couldn’t get him to sit down for more than 5 minutes. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, raced cars, built engines (for a living and a hobby), was an avid fisherman, rifle and bow hunter, sailor, and float plane pilot. He lived in northwest Ontario for 30 years where he owned a remote fly-in fishing and hunting resort and where it got to -50 degrees in the winter. He was an amazing man and as his friends would say, he could speak volumes on so many different subjects. He was also the go to person if you were in the market to make a big purchase and needed his expertise and research.

Richard was born March 20, 1941 in Akron Ohio and spent his retirement years in Naples Florida and a few months every year in Park Rapids Minnesota. He will be so sadly missed by his wife Jeanie, brother in law Jimmy Sullivan, sister in law Janet Caseley, and so many friends and family he touched throughout his life. He is preceded in death by his brother Bob, his dad Frank, and his mom Virginia.

If you wish to make a donation in his memory, please make it to your local no kill humane society.

RIP Richard. We love you!
