Mrs. Catherine E. McCarthy
April 24, 1926 – Februuary 12, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine “Kay” McCarthy (nee Proctor) announce her passing on Friday, February 12, 2021 in Naples, FL at the age of 94 after suffering a stroke. Kay McCarthy was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was born to George and Mary Proctor on April 24, 1926.

Kay is survived by her sons Michael (Patricia) and Timothy (AnnMarie) and her daughter Catherine
(Michael), her grandchildren Michael (Adriana), Erin Urdi (Chris) and Luke, her great-granddaughter
Casandra and her brothers Edward Proctor of Boston, MA and Robert Proctor of Nova Scotia, as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Kay was predeceased by her husband Lester; parents, George and Mary; siblings, Ernest of Weymouth, MA, Gertrude (Lorraine) Nelson of Dayton, OH, Melvin of Braintree, MA, Gerald (Butch) of Tewksbury, MA and Carl of Pembroke, MA and her partner William Estano of Pembroke, MA.
In light of the pandemic, a “Celebration of Life” will be held at a future time, to be announced, in Boston, MA.
