Mr. Marc McInnis
November 27, 1961 – June 16, 2021

Marc Joseph McInnis passed away on June 16th, 2021, in Naples, Florida after a long courageous 2 1/2 years battle with cancer. He fought hard, a real warrior. He was 59 years old.
Marc was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and grew up in Malden. His family then moved to Wakefield, Mass and he graduated Wakefield High School in 1980.

He is preceded in death by his father, Gilbert McInnis.
He is survived by his partner, and the love of his life, Cindy George, Son Zacharie and wife Nicole McInnis, daughter Lindsay and husband Italo Mondragon, brother Michael McInnis and partner Lauren Leja, sister Michelle and husband Robert Layton, sister Maryanne and husband Tom Donovan, his Mother, Arlene d’Entremont Ragland and her husband Alan. And beautiful granddaughter, Penelope. He also leaves nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Marc was a loving, passionate person. He was a tough guy with a big heart and would do anything for anyone, no questions asked.

His biggest passion was, of course, his artwork. He loved airbrushing-especially motorcycles, but he could put paint on anything. If you knew Marc, he was a ‘skull-master’ and ‘zombie-king’ when it came to painting. But he also loved painting the beauty of nature, animals and birds, especially birds of prey, another passion of his. He painted portraits and the most beautiful praying hands and cardinals. He loved setting up a table at places to show off and sell his work- but he also gave and donated many of his paintings as well. He loved museums and galleries, his favorite artist was Frank Frazetta.

Marc loved music! He was a metal head for sure but his favorites were Zappa, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. He would listen to classical with Cindy on Sunday mornings and he enjoyed many concerts and comedy shows.

Marc was also a member of the Elks of Derry/Salem, NH , for the past several years, which he was very proud of and wished he had the time to do more.

Marc loved being with his friends and family. He felt so blessed having two beautiful children and a grandchild , he loved them dearly.

Marc also had a great, special relationship with Cindy’s children and family. Marc had several great friends, long time dear high school friends, and of course his ‘biker’ friends, his ‘brothers’. There are so many memories of beautiful rides in New Hampshire and throughout New England. He also was passionate about this country and spoke out on what he thought was right. He also met many people with that same passion and the friendships remain.

As big as Marc’s love was, it never shone more brightly than with his ‘Sweets,’ his soulmate, Cindy. They met in high school, went off to have their own families and reconnected for the best times of their lives. They were each other’s ‘rocks,’ support, and best friends. Their dream of moving to Florida came true this past March, but sadly his cancer was too aggressive and the dream was cut short. His cancer was a tough one, he went through many different treatments with strength, grace, laughter and an amazing attitude . He never gave up.

Marc was a great Dad, Brother, Son, Papa, Partner and Friend. He was a wild man, the monkey man. He was risky, and goofy and funny, and he swore a lot! He was creative, giving, kind, compassionate, strong, sensitive, romantic and tough. He made an impact on everyone he knew.

As Cindy’s daughter Sarah, said ‘he lived his life with a child-like happiness, joy and humor, he really was a big kid’

He was one of a kind and will be dearly missed by so many

There will be a celebration of life in Marc’s honor in November in New Hampshire…more details to come

‘Ride free…airbrush the sunsets…fly with the birds…rock on….Rest in Peace, Marc
~We Love You~

Marc, so glad we met at the dealership when you bought that Suzuki SUV from me. I remember you saying I just need transportation I’m not out to impress anyone. From that point on you and I became friends. And then a couple years later you came back and bought another non-impressive car. A Ford Fiesta. Lol Then a few years later you came back and bought that god ugly Kia I’m sorry dude that car is ugly. But it didn’t matter to you. You just wanted Cindy in a safe dependable car. I respect you brother going to miss you. You are a warrior and I will never forget you.

Marc, when I first met you and Cindy at a political gathering, what I saw was a deep love for each other and a deep love for our country. At every gathering, I got to talk to you both more and realized that you only come across people like this a few times in your life and I was a lucky one. I will never forget our gatherings, nor will I ever forget the look on Senator Cruz’s face when you gave him your airbrushed art. It was priceless and he remembered years later. May you rest in eternal peace, my friend. You are no longer in pain, and I pray you will be reunited with Cindy one day and be together in eternity. May God keep watch over you and may you ride into all the sunsets as you watch over us. Love, Vicki

An all-around great guy, Marc will be missed immensely by all who knew him. He was a warrior throughout his battles with his health yet he still found time to continue his creative pursuits. He had soul of an artist, the heart of a lion and the free spirit of birds in flight. That is how I choose to remember him. Rest with the Angels, my friend…one day we all will meet again…

Marc, when we first met you it was when you air brushed my harley with a beautiful underwater design that everyone would comment on. We became good friends over the years. When I heard you had cancer I was shocked. Now, it is hard to believe you are gone. We all will miss you so much and your beautiful artwork with that contagious smile. Love, Paul and Charlotte

Marc, from the first time we spoke I knew you were a true once in a lifetime Brother, you had the gift of seeing things differently than the average human, you spoke how you felt and that’s a rare thing that ordinary people didn’t know how to take. You were real….. I’m a better human for having known you and will always remember you.
Your body has been laid to rest but your soul and spirit shall live forever in what you’ve left behind.

Marc, you responded to an add I had on craigslist for auto customizing and restoration. You offered me your services for custom painting and that started a long online friendship. Unfortunately I never got to meet you in person but felt like we had always been friends. I have followed you through this horrible disease and admired your strength through it all. I am so sorry that you were not able to beat it in the end. You are no longer suffering and there is no more pain. You have touched my heart my friend.
May you rest in peace.

I have know Marc for so long since high school monkey man days. We didn’t see each other often but when we did it was like we were just talking yesterday. That’s the kind of person Marc was. Marc was kind hearted and always made you feel his joy by just talking with you. I was blessed to win a bottle with prayer hands on it and Marc even added fairy lights. This bottle is beautiful and since the day I won the bottle it’s been one of my most prized possessions. I will cherish it forever. I will be at your celebration of life feeling blessed to have been able to call you friend. Rest easy

Marc my Brother, The world seems a bit quiet and boring without your infectious laugh and love for life and everybody you met. When I was down, you and Cindy helped me out of the depths. I will always remember how much we did together, the beautiful rides through New Hampshire, The back roads to Bentley’s with you in the lead, out to the Rendezvous, All the political rallies and the great friends you introduced me to. We even got Cindy to enjoy getting her feet off of the ground.
When you said you guys were packing up and you were going to drive to Florida, I knew I had to help you achieve your goal of getting to the warmth. I am glad I was able to help get you there, but I knew when I left you in Florida it would be the last time I would see you. Watching the pics of your decline the last few months has been heartbreaking, but I admire the way you dealt with whatever was thrown at you. I am glad you are no longer in pain.
You leave a beautiful legacy with your art, your children, your beautiful granddaughter, and your love for Cindy. As I told you the day before you passed, find a great group for us to ride with when I get there. I will think of you every day. Love you my Brother, Ride Free.

Marc loved raptors. He’d park off the highway just to watch for hawks and eagles. He also had a large voice. Once, he came up to my cabin in Maine. It was beginning of November and warm. We put the canoe in the lake and paddled around. As we approached a cove, he yelled out “There’s a f*#@%*g bald eagle!” The bird turned around, glared at us and flew off. A few minutes later, in a different part of the cove, we came upon the same bald eagle. I told Marc to shut up and we paddled as close as we could get. The eagle watched us, let us get to within 50 yards or so, and then flew off. Neither of us had ever heard the sound of wings beating like that. Soar with the eagles now, brother!

Marc, just remembering the days in Dover and T-Giving ’05 in Plymouth, Ma. and August ’06 at Six Flags Agawam. Daniel and I were talking about that you and he went on that practicality dropped you from the sky(I know, I remember I chickened out at the last minute). Didn’t know you were in Fort Myers but I sure would have paid you a visit. God Bless and say hi to my parents for me. You’ll know them when you see them.
