In Loving Memory of Bill Lamoreaux

May 23, 1962 – May 9, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William Curnow Lamoreaux, who died peacefully on May 9, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was just shy of his 63rd birthday.

Bill was born on May 23, 1962, in Kingston, Pennsylvania and resided in Naples, Fl and Litchfield, CT. Bill lived a life full of warmth, humor and authenticity. He spent 3 decades building a meaningful career in the healthcare industry where he was known for his professionalism, dedication, and genuine care for the people he served. He was Head of Network Strategy and Provider Experience at Aetna, a CVS Health Company. Prior to Aetna he held executive positions at several major national insurance companies, as well as, serving as CEO for a regional primary care physician practice.

Bill lived life to the fullest beyond his professional career. He was a passionate golfer, music and art lover, avid concert attendee, wine and bourbon enthusiast, watch collector and world traveler. A die hard Philadelphia sports fan, he was lucky enough to attend Super Bowl 52 and watch his beloved Eagles defeat the Patriots, their first Super Bowl win since 1960.

Bill was known for his unique sense of humor and colloquialisms—quick witted, clever, and irreverent.  He would proudly claim that he was the first to arrive, last to leave, never invited and always welcome! His laughter was infectious, his presence uplifting, and his love for life undeniable. Whether on the course, in the crowd, or at home with family, Bill brought joy to those around him. He was a man of integrity and thoughtfulness. Although ALS took his body it never touched his spirit. Bill’s memory will live on in every laugh, every song, every sunny day on the golf course and in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents Janice and Harry Lamoreaux, his loving wife, Lori, and his children, Krista, William, and Brynn, who will carry his legacy forward with the same strength, humor, and heart that defined him.

A celebration of Bill’s amazing and impactful life will be held on July 11, 2025 (1:00 PM) at the Golf Club of Avon, 160 Country Club Rd, Avon Ct 06001.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s honor can be sent to http://Alsunitedct.org or The Hospital for Special Care c/o Neuromuscular Research Fund 2150 Corbin Ave, New Britain, CT 06053.

Lori,

I want to provide my condolence to you and the family. As you know, Bill was an important person to me and he changed my life. I loved him as a long time friend and colleague. I will miss my friend but I am glad that Bill is at peace, on to his next journey and no longer having to deal with that terrible disease.

I believe Bill knew this, but I have lost every relative on both sides of my family with the exception of one cousin in Sterling Scotland and one cousin in Corby England. Everyone else has left the earth. This began with losing my mother at age 9 and continued throughout my life. I was fortunate to have my dad with me until one month before his 90th. I worked in an emergency room for 4 years and that along with of my own personal loss, I have formed a strong faith and belief in an existence after we leave this earth. We never forget but time helps us heal and go on. I wish you and the family strong remembrance and quick healing.

If there is ever anything that I can do for you, please don’t hesitate to let me know. I would do for you, just like I would do for Bill.

God bless you all,
Scott Law

This is the first I am hearing of this. I am So Sorry for you and your Family. I know we have not seen each other for a long time but we are Cousins. I loved Bill. I like him since the first time I met him all those years ago when we were young and had Family Get Togethers for Thanksgiving at Uncle Louie House. Boy do I miss those days. There were a lot of Angels up there to welcome him home. Please know I love and care about you. Please Take Care and give your Sisters a Hug for me. Miss them too. I do see Pictures on Facebook from time to time especially from Liane. Again, I am truly Sorry for the Loss of your Husband Bill.

Your Cousin,
Diane

Lori

Bill was the single most important person in my career. He was kind, helpful, honest and knowledgeable. From the time I arrived in the USA to this point in that journey Bill mentored me throughout my business and often in life. During those years, sharing his sense of humor, I laughed so much I often had sore ribs and tears in my eyes. Today, tears are back. But as I remember those times these tears will abate and great memories will come back and be relived over and over. I hope your children understand what a wonderful man he was and how impactful he was in this world

If you ever need anything I can help with, I will be there

Love

Douglas
