Anna Dioguardi, beloved matriarch and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away in Naples, Florida on May 2, 2025, just days shy of her 96th birthday. Born on May 11, 1929, in Venezuela, Anna’s life was richly defined through the strength, warmth, and faithfulness she shared with her cherished family.
In her early years, Anna dedicated herself wholeheartedly to creating a loving home as a devoted homemaker. Married to the late Nunzio Dioguardi, she raised her three children with unwavering commitment, care, and compassion. As a mother to Vincent Dioguardi, Frances Miletich (née Dioguardi), and Maria Collins (née Dioguardi), Anna nurtured a family legacy steeped in love and resilience.
Family was always the center of Anna’s life, and she proudly embraced her role as the heart of her household. Gathering with loved ones around the table was a cherished tradition in Anna’s home—her welcoming spirit and legendary cooking created an atmosphere filled with joy and laughter. Anna’s recipes and cookies will be fondly remembered as symbols of her endless love.
With a calming presence and generosity, Anna naturally assumed the role of family matriarch, guiding generations through life’s journey with compassion and strength. She was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren and seven precious great-grandchildren, each holding special memories of her warmth, soothing reassurances, and stories from her life.
Beyond her kitchen, Anna found joy tending to her Deer Park, Long Island home both inside and out. Her home was a place of celebration, cherished family gatherings, and conversations—the warmth of her hospitality extended to every visitor who entered her doors.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Carmelo and Maria Anna, her dearly beloved husband, Nunzio Dioguardi, three brothers, Vicente, Rafael and Antonio and son-in-law, Robert Collins. She is survived by her sisters Francesca “LaNegra” and Beatrice and devoted children, son Vincent (Sheri), and daughters Frances (John) and Maryann. Grandchildren, Vincent, Jackie (Chris), Robert (Kristy), Michael (Samantha), Nicolette and Danielle. Great-grandchildren, Bryson, Skylar, Briella, Eliana, Robert, Nicholas and Michael whose lives were shaped by her incomparable example of love.
Family and friends are invited to a viewing at Naples Funeral Home, 3107 Davis Boulevard, Naples, Florida on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm followed by a service at 2:30 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY at 1:00 pm on Friday, May, 16, 2025.
As we lovingly remember Anna Dioguardi, let us cherish her beautiful legacy: a life defined by love, strength, and grace. Her memory will continue to inspire generations to come.

Anna Dioguardi, proud to call my mother . I am the youngest of three siblings. My mother Anna was the strongest woman whom I’ve learned everything from. She helped me raise my two beautiful sons at a very early age in my life. My mom was always there for me no matter what . I married young in life, (difficult marriage) again she was there for me the entire time good and bad. I stood by her and cared for her until the very end. She was the “glue” that held our family together . She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and more. I know she will be missed very much . There are so many things we did together , we laughed, we cried , but again there are so many things I wish I could have done even more with you . Mama, I love you so much , I always have and I always will , I don’t know how to live without you , but I know you are watching over me now and I will be ok because you taught me how to be strong. You are with my father now . You truly will be loved and missed always and forever. I love you Bella . ❤️
