Carl Edward Milewski, born August 20th, 1930 in Hartford, CT passed away on August 9th, 2025 just 11 days short of his 95th birthday. The world has lost a true gentleman and a wonderful husband and father.
Carl passed away peacefully in Naples, FL beside his wife Mary, daughter Carlene and her husband Louis, and his son Matthew.
Carl was a graduate of Buckley High School in Hartford, CT in 1949 and Virginia PolyTech in Virginia in 1953. He also served as an Army lieutenant in the Korean War.
Carl raised his family in Avon, Connecticut and was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Carl was a super salesman in New England winning many company awards for his outstanding sales records. He started his own company, Carl Edwards and Associates, in 1984 and retired in 2002 moving to his dream home in Naples, Florida with Mary where he was able to golf and swim to his heart’s content. Carl started golfing at the age of six and is credited with making six holes in one during the more than 80 years that he enjoyed golf. Two of them occurring in his eighties. Carl is known for his calm demeanor, sense of humor, being deeply devoted to his wife and four children, and his love of golfing and swimming. Carl was a family man that leaves his family and extended family with many beautiful memories of summer spent on the beach, swimming at Holiday Ridge, being the master of ceremonies at family gatherings, and always making us laugh. He had the best sense of humor, and he will be deeply missed.
In 1959, on January 17th Carl married Mary Elizabeth Hourihan. In addition to his beloved wife Mary of 66 years he leaves behind four children, Carlene (Louis) of Naples, FL, William of Washington, D.C., Matthew (Krystine) of Severna Park MD, and son Michael (Kim) of Pasadena, MD. In addition to seven grandchildren Alexis, Andrew, August, Aiden, Carl, Kristen, Louis, and 3 great grandchildren Rachael, Margaret and Sophia.
