Doris Vaughan, 81, passed away on Thursday March 6th, 2025 with family by her side, holding her hand. Doris was a lifelong native of Greensboro except for the last 4 years where she spent living in Naples FL. She was born June 6th 1943 in Greensboro, NC, the daughter of the late David Franklin Ingold and Willie Lee Ingold.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Douglas Vaughan and her son, David Vaughan.

Surviving are her daughters, Pam McAmis (Brad) of Greensboro, Kim Vaughan (Karen) of Naples; grandchildren, Lauren Reese (Nick), Madison Willard (Tyson), Brooke Jacobelli (Craig), Parker Vaughan, Anna Ellis Vaughan; great grandchildren, Tatum Willard, Parks Willard, Harper Reese, Sloane Jacobelli; loving four legged companion, Ziggy.

Doris’s gentle and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. She never passed up the opportunity to be spend time with friends and family.

As a mother, grandmother and great grandmother you couldn’t find a more loving, caring, supportive, nurturing and selfless soul. Her love always unwavering and unconditional. Doris’s love also extended beyond family to treasured friendships. She is missed beyond measure and will forever be loved, remembered and cherished.

A graveside service to honor Doris will be held on June 6th, 2025 at 2:00 at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery, 6000 West Gate City Boulevard, Greensboro, NC 27407.
