Daniel Michael Papa, Jr. (Danny), born in Paterson, NJ passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2025, at the age of 77 where he currently resided in Naples, Florida.

He has left behind a legacy of love and a lifetime of countless memories. As a loving husband, father, and grandfather he touched the lives of many with his unique personality, love of his Italian heritage and food, and his presence as patriarch of his family.

For 25 years, Danny held a position as a courthouse guard for the Essex County Sheriffs Department in Newark, NJ. He also held a Management position in Quality Control for 30 years at Hoffman LaRoche Pharmaceuticals, Totowa NJ.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Arlene Papa (Giuliano) who selflessly cared for him until his last breath. He is also survived by his two daughters, Danielle Papa, and Tiffany Franco (Papa).

He leaves behind 5 beautiful grandchildren who loved and respected him dearly. Marielle Gerbino, Mark E. Gerbino, Isabella Gerbino, Amelia Franco, and Angelo Franco, all lovingly referred to him as Pop Pop.

He is also survived by his brother Bruce Papa, sister-in-law Catherine O’Kean Papa, and their children Thomas Papa and Sara Papa.

His presence will be incredibly missed by all that knew and loved him. We find peace knowing that he is in the arms of the Lord.

The family has opted to not have services at this time.
