Our History

We are the oldest family owned and operated funeral home in Naples FL. When a funeral home is family owned, it means something. It means that the people you trust in your time of need are your neighbors and they live right in Naples FL.


In fact, you may already know Michael, Dana and their children or the employees of Naples Funeral Home through school, church, community groups or charity organizations.

That means that we are involved in the community, we know the people and we know the local customs and traditions.

In a time of sorrow, it's good to know that your neighbor cares.

While many funeral homes have family names, quite a few are actually operated by large corporations with headquarters in another state. Not Naples Funeral Home, our directors are available 24 hours a day to answer your questions, you will never get an answering service.


Our Valued Staff

Michael D. Hall

Michael D. Hall, Owner/Funeral Director/Embalmer

Michael D. Hall is the owner and manager of Naples Funeral Home. He was born and raised in Bergen County, New Jersey.
Michael began his funeral directing career as a teenager. He attended The American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City and is a licensed Funeral Director / Embalmer in Florida, New Jersey and New York. Michael has spent years dedicated to serving families in their time of need and is very knowledgeable in the customs and rituals of all religions and heritages. He feels honored to be able to serve the Naples community.
Michael has two beautiful children in the Collier County Public School System and is a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church.


Richard L. Anderson

Richard L. Anderson, Funeral Director/Embalmer

Richard L. Anderson is a licensed funeral director / embalmer from Wisconsin, graduating from Wisconsin Institute of Mortuary Science in 1960. He moved to Florida and became a Florida licensed funeral director / embalmer in 1980. Richard has been at Naples Funeral Home since 1992.
He served his country over in Korea; is a life member of the VFW, and a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge #1782, Elks Lodge #2010, Sons of Norway and a past member of the Kiwanis Club of Golden Gate. Richard is well experienced with Veterans Benefits, honors, services and burials.


Michael Blanc

Michael Blanc, Funeral Director / Embalmer

Michael Blanc has been a Funeral Director for 25 years. Originally from Perry, NY, he attended Simmons Institute of Mortuary Science in Syracuse, NY., and holds funeral director / embalmer’s licenses in the states of New York, North Carolina and Florida. After owning his own Trade Service in Western NY, he decided that winter was no longer his favorite time of year (never was) and moved to Naples in 2015 to join the staff at Naples Funeral Home. Michael proudly served his country for 8 years in the United States Air Force. He and his better half, Linda Buckel, reside in Naples and enjoy the warm weather and beaches the area has to offer.


Catherine Miller

Catherine Miller, Funeral Director/ Embalmer

Catherine Miller “Cathy” is a licensed funeral director / embalmer from Brooklyn, NY. She attended The American Academy McAllister Institute of Funeral Service in New York City and graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor’s of Science and Concentration in Business Management. Beginning in the early ages of grade school, Cathy has loved helping others by tutoring, coaching, mentoring and/or assisting others. After volunteering at hospitals in NYC, Cathy wanted to further help her community by entering the funeral industry. She relocated to Florida where she met and married her husband Shawn. Cathy attends Etudes de Ballet dance studio, House of Flyte and The Sand Barre fitness studios in Naples.


Kristy Amanda Rinearson

Kristy Amanda Rinearson, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

Kristy Amanda Rinearson, “Kris” joined the staff at Naples Funeral Home in March 2017. She is a graduate of John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee and is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in both Florida and Tennessee. Like many in her field, Kris is dedicated to serving the needs of grieving families and helping them honor their loved ones in a dignified and personal way. Kris is a member of the Southwest Florida Harmony Chamber of Commerce and is married to Kim. She enjoys shelling on the beautiful beaches of Southwest Florida and the barrier islands, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.


Kimberly Hoeninghaus

Kimberly Hoeninghaus, Death Certificate Coordinator and Administrative Assistant

Kimberly Hoeninghaus, “Kim” joined the staff at Naples Funeral Home in March 2017 and is the Death Certificate Coordinator and Administrative Assistant. Originally from Berkeley, California, she studied Humanities at New College and has been working in funeral service since 2012. Kim takes pride in her work and in the comfort that she is able to provide families. Kim is an avid conservationist and animal lover. She is married to Kris and enjoys shelling, cooking, yoga, and spending time with family and friends.
